The Equity Institute is a 501c4, social welfare organization that operates from a health equity framework to inform, shape, and design a more just and equitable society.  Founded by the leaders of The McKinney Foundation, our present path forward grew out of an imperative to strive for racial, health, and educational equity, especially for citizens most vulnerable to the social determinants of health. The work we do addresses inequities in current systems of education, healthcare, labor, business, nonprofit, and government at all levels – municipal, county, state, and federal.
