About The Equity Institute
The Equity Institute is established as a 501c4 social welfare organization formed for the betterment of humanity. The Equity Institute (TEI) operates with intentionality from a health equity framework to inform, shape, and design a more just and equitable society. To create this reality, TEI works in collaboration with a membership of diverse and like-minded agencies, organizations, and concerned stakeholders to achieve its mission and vision.
The work we do impacts lives. TEI focuses on dissemination of research that spurs development of innovative frameworks, evidence-based policies, and effective strategies, while also bolstering engagement in equity-based advocacy efforts. It is specific actions like these that help to counteract the ill effects of the social determinants of health (SDH) on historically underserved communities and vulnerable populations.
Our core focus is ensuring racial, health, and educational equity as it relates to our five pillars.
